Will Westall & Jacob Coupe @ Comme des Garçon SS12 show, PFW.
Comme des Garçon polished their collection in this season with the noble theme. A predictable deduction through a handful amount of borderline military clothing with the luxurious yet playful, grand-ish attempts of blue-blooded wannabe designs. the point where this collection became interesting was the variation of themes and the interconnection between them were like telling a story. Began with several dimmer and slightly ripped clothing expressing a humble background and claimed to climb upward to a more middle class attire, and eventually become a luxurious noble with bright and wonderful palette with ruffles technique and with more patterns such as polka dots and contrasting colouring checks (and you have got to love those fancy crowns!). finally the theme came to a more sophisticated, lace fabrication ending towards the finale. The black-white-pink-black development was also very strong and fascinating. Hair and makeup sticked strongly with the theme but it’s not very practical lol. all in all it’s a delightful collection from CdG, and a successful impressionable show. i quite liked the setting, especially there were plenty looks i enjoyed seeing.
The look on West came in the middle; and the lace tux on Jacob was among the last few looks of the collection.
